The Miami Marlins' 2018 season is 30 games old. It wasn't a start that set the world on fire, but the Fish have won six of eight after losing 17 of their first 22.

Overall, Miami finished the first 30 games with a record of 11-19. Here's how that stacks up to the previous 25 years:

1993: 14-16
1994: 17-13
1995: 7-23
1996: 11-19
1997: 17-13
1998: 11-19
1999: 7-23
2000: 14-16
2001: 13-17
2002: 15-15
2003: 15-15
2004: 17-13
2005: 18-12
2006: 8-22
2007: 14-16
2008: 16-14
2009: 16-14
2010: 14-16
2011: 19-11
2012: 15-15
2013: 8-22
2014: 15-15
2015: 14-16
2016: 16-14
2017: 13-17
2018: 11-19

Winning Records Through 30 Games: Eight. In 26 years of baseball, the Marlins have only had winning records through 30 games eight times. That's not bad considering the team has had just six winning seasons.

Losing Records Through 30 Games: 14. In more than half of the Marlins' 26 seasons in baseball, the team has had a losing record through 30 games. The Marlins have finished with a losing record 19 times.

.500 Records Through 30 Games: Four. The Marlins have finished an even 15-15 through 30 games on four different occasions. The most notable is in 2003 when the Marlins went on to win the World Series. The then Florida Marlins were just 19-29 through 48 games that year, but finished 72-42 over the final 114 games.

Most Common Record Through 30 Games: 14-16. The most common record through 30 games is 14 wins, which has happened five times. The most recent came in 2015.

Best Start: 19-11. The best start for the Marlins through 30 games was a 19-11 start in 2011. The Fish had a strong April and May before a disastrous June in which they finished just 5-23. That year, the Marlins finished with a record of 72-90.

Worst Start: 7-23, twice. The worst-ever starts for the Marlins came in the early stages of the franchise in 1995 and 1999. The team went 67-76 during the 1995 campaign, which was shortened by the 1994 strike. In 1999, the team finished 64-98. The Marlins' worst finish was in 1998 as they went just 54-108. They were 11-19 through 30 games after a 1-11 start.
